Doctors and medical staff in hospitals in Colombia are at risk because of the COVID-19 pandemic. They have no PPEs or Personal Protective Equipment to assist patients. In one sentence, hospitals and health care centers do not have enough protective equipment for their medical staff. The Rotary Club will help in the process of buying the raw materials, acquiring N-95 (FPP2) face masks, having the doctors protective suits made by a local government agency. Finally the Rotary Club will help distributing all this protective equipment. We have strategic alliances with North University (Universidad del Norte), SENA (National Learning and Training Center), The Colombian Red Cross, and The Medical Heroes Foundation. We will do this in 2020.
All the funds will be used in their totality to buy raw materials, protective equipment, and face masks. The Rotary Club is doing this to save the lives of doctors, medical staff, and the lives of their patients in hospitals and clinics in Colombia.

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
