The objective is to supply water to 4 indigenous communities of the Wayuu ethnic group, in the Colombian Guajira, by constructing 4 water wells operated with manual pumps. The benefited community is 50 families with 6 members on average each, for each well. The total number of beneficiaries is 1,200 people.
Additional Contribution (not matched by The Rotary Foundation)
$7,000
Total
$63,000
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
