Since March 6, 2020, the first case of coronavirus in Colombia was confirmed, and it is estimated that the number of patients who will require an artificial respirator to live will exceed capacity response that public and private hospitals have because the virus spreads exponentially. The main objective of the project is to supply the need for artificial respirators in Colombian public and private hospitals, benefiting the population of potential critical patients estimated at 2,500 people. One of the medical devices required for the treatment of patients with acute respiratory complications from COVID-19 is the mechanical ventilator, because when the pulmonary alveoli are obstructed, the ventilator generates a constant positive pressure that keeps them open.

$2,250
Total
$70,000
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
