Project Description Region: South America Country: Peru Location: Ferreñafe, Pítipo Total Budget: $84,011 Area of Focus: Water, sanitation and hygiene This project has two main aspects: 1. Equipment and infraestructure. 2. Development of capabilities in water management. About first one, this project consider to implement two chlorine dispenser by providing drinking water to rural towns in Pítipo, district of Ferreñafe in Perú. In this same line of action, we will do the improvement of four water reservoirs. Likewise, we need to install a new submersible pump in the existing well. The purpose of this activity is assure drinking water supply at 24/7. At the end, we will have to place 500 water meters, because we pursue the sustainability by mean micro - meeasurement. We hope to encourage to water care. About the second aspect, We are going to enhance technical and administratives capabilities. 3 rural administrative boards (function: water management) are involved in this project.
