Project Description

Region: North America

Country: USA

Location: Whiteclay, NE

Total Budget: $59,100

Area of Focus: Community economic development

We are standing up a Rotary host global grant project near the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation population in South Dakota. Our District 5610 has partnered with a building owner in Whiteclay, Nebraska (2 miles from Pine Ridge Reservation) to help artists with production and selling of their artwork. The grant will focus on Economic and Community Development, so that they may better support themselves and their families. This Indian Reservation is one of the poorest counties in the United States.

Rotary Foundation has approved the grant #2010044. Any additional financial, in-kind, or personal commitments would be greatly appreciated.

DDF contributions in grey are pending approval of the corresponding district committee.

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
