Project Description Region: Africa Country: Burundi Location: Bisoro-mwaro Total Budget: $230,000 Area of Focus: Water, sanitation and hygiene Object : water supply in the Rural Commune of BISORO in Burundi, by rehabilitation of existing sources and tanks, new constructions of standpipes and a distribution net (6 560 m of piping, fittings ans accessories). Beneficiaries : main goal is, for 100% of the 40.000 people in BISORO, to have clean water at less than 500 m distance. The present project covers 6 km out of 20 km of the overall project. Partnership : the project is a proposal of the Association of Friends of the Commune of Bisoro (AACOBI). Rotary Club Bujumbura support the project, and wishes to mobilize contributions of Rotary Clubs, Districts, and different sponsors.
