Project Description Region: South-East Asia Country: India Location: Kurukshetra Total Budget: $40,857 Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Water, sanitation and hygiene, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy 100 Sanitary Napkin Machines and Sanitary Napkin Burning Incinerator will be installed in 100 villages of Block Ladwa & Babain (District Kurukshetra, Haryana) as females and girls of villages use ordinary cloth in their tough days of menstruation due to which an infection takes place and they are effected by many diseases. So Sanitary Napkin Machines are very important for them which will provide them very less expensive napkin and Sanitary Napkin Burning Incinerator is necessary to save society from infection spread out from used napkin pads. The awareness regarding using napkin pads during menstruation, importance of dispose them off and use of both machines will be done with the installation of these machines in every village. Beneficiaries : Thirty thousand females & school going girls and of course Environemnt. Timeline: December 2019 to March 2020 Rotarian Participants: Role of Host Rotarians : All the implementation of this project will be done by Host Rotarians. Role of International Rotarians.
