ABOUT DESTINY RESCUE

Destiny Rescue is an international anti-trafficking organization focused on rescuing children who are being sexually exploited and enslaved. Our mission is to rescue, restore, protect, empower, and be a voice for those who can't speak up for themselves.

In 2019, Destiny Rescue rescued 1,426 survivors and over 5,100 overall since 2011.

Our restoration programs have successfully kept 4 out of every 5 children we rescue from rejoining the commercial sex trade industry. We currently work with survivors in Thailand, Cambodia, the Philippines, the Dominican Republic and three undisclosed countries in Asia.

After we rescue a child, we work to provide a specialized aftercare plan for each individual. Our aftercare services may include safe housing, education, vocational training, counselling and medical care.

WHY MEDICAL CARE IS VITAL

Our newly-rescued girls experience a wide variety of illnesses and medical conditions. Their health needs are both SPECIFIC, relating directly to the nature of the work within the sex industry, and GENERIC, arising from a life of poverty and poor access to healthcare services.

To ensure the well-being of our beneficiaries, we would like to begin providing basic, yet high-quality medical care for all girls who enter our aftercare program in all seven project nations in which we operate (an estimated 430 girls).

We've developed a 3-phase healthcare plan, which is summarized below:

Phase 1: $14,561

- Providing initial health screenings and establishing medical records for newly rescued children

Phase 2: $4,910

- Providing ongoing medical care to beneficiaries to ensure their health and well-being

Phase 3: $97.090

- Providing advanced medical care to beneficiaries as needed (including dental)

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
