Ecological Treatments of Sewer

History Logs

Project Description

Region: South America

Country: Brazil

Location: Itatituba-PA

Total Budget: $31,000

Area of Focus: Water, sanitation and hygiene

Together with the community of the neighborhood of Paz, in the city of Itaituba, PA, Brazil, the problem was found in the treatment of domestic sewage, where it causes pollution through domestic wastewater in the water table, where in these families a wastewater system is generally used non-ecological sewage treatment (dark water). This environmental impact causes diseases in this community. Therefore, it is proposed the establishment of compact low cost sewage treatment plants for this community, where will benefit sixty needy families, an average of 300 people.
