e project MaisVidas is based on recently approved federal bill # 13.722/18 named as Lucas Zamora law.
Lucas Zamora was a 10 years old kid who passed away choked on a sandwich during school recreational time.
The demise of Lucas Zamora called attention to the fact that public schools have no trained staff and first-aid equipment neither.
Therefore, the objective of MaisVida project is enable on first-aid teachers and work staff of 160 public children education schools at the city of Sorocaba, and additionally equip their internal sick rooms with a complete first-aid kit.
With the length of 2 hours, the teachers enabling course will be offered by specialized first-aid medical company free of charge.
Rotary Club of Sorocaba Vergueiro will be responsible for project organization, its management and results tracking.
The project funds are necessary for first-aid kit purchasing and the project time line is circa 1 year with kick off on courses in September 2019.
