Project Description Region: South America Country: Brazil Location: Rio do Sul Total Budget: $83,600 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment View Online Proposal Form The project will be carried out at the Neo-natal, Pediatric and First Aid ICUs of the Alto Vale Regional Hospital, located at 218 Tuiuti Street, in Rio do Sul - SC. HRAV - Hospital Regional Alto Vale is the referral hospital in the Upper Itajaí Valley, serving 28 municipalities and a population of approximately 300,000. The current problem is that the hospital is short of equipment, and as 80% of the more than 40,000 monthly visits come from the SUS, public health service, and the resources are insufficient for investments. The acquisition of the 3 respirators will meet the current demand for this equipment, leaving the hospital, which is managed by fellow Rotary staff, responsible for their use and maintenance.
