Project Description Region: South America Country: Brazil Location: Sarandi Total Budget: $34,568 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment The Sarandi Community Hospital which is chartered by SUS (Brazilian public health system), with 82 beds, serve a large region covering around 160,000 patients and has 1 ultrasound device to perform the internal examinations. Often the device is in the examination room when it is also needed in the cirurgical room. So one more device would solve the problem. The responsability and maintenance of the device shall be borne by the Hospital itself.
