Project Description Region: North America Country: México Location: Leon, Guanajuato Total Budget: $38,340 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment We have detected 35 elementary schools in the city and rural areas with low income families children that need medical atention, most of them about eyesight problem. Doctors examine all school chidren to detect any problem. Once problem is located, we send children to a specialist. Children having poor eyesight problems are examined with specialized medical personnel, prescription eyeglasses are done and are donated to children. About 2,100 school children need prescription eyeglasses.
