Project Description Region: South America Country: Peru Location: Tarapoto SAN MARTIN Total Budget: $89,212 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy The Rotary Club in Tarapoto, Peru (district 4465-Peru) has an educational project for which we have already invested in a building, some furniture and dentist surgery for children. We opened an elementary school last year in the new facility but didn't have enough human or financial resources to be able to grow. This year we want to improve the quality of education. We thought it was necessary to hire a new School Principal competent in the field of education to make a change in the service and create an educational model inspired on succesfull models from around the world for this region of Peru.
