Project Location

RI DIST 3000 comprising of Revenue district viz Trichy, Pudukkottai,Perambalur,Karur, Ariyalur, Dindigul, Theni and Madurai.

Project Objectives

To educate approximately 3000 farmers In organic farming. Facilitate procurements of seeds and equipments. Intend giving agro input kit to each farmer worth Rs 1200.

Project Summary Rotarians will be travelling to each area, and with the assistances of Rotary there will reach the farmer. Everyday 4 meetings with 100 farmers in each area will be educated on organic farming. Their requirements of seeds and small farming equipments will be assured and given.

Project Beneficiaries Dist 3000 About 3000 farmers in 8 Revenue Districts of Rotary

Area Of Focus Inculcating organic farming techniques, conservation of water, teaching best irrigation and agriculture operations with careful water management. Best use of available equipments.

Project Sustainablity

It will be a continuous project carried out by our Rotary club for atleast 3 years targeting educating 10000 farmers.

Expected Project Impact

Will educate atleast 10000 farmers in agriculture based villages in latest farming technologies. Improved yield that will be healthy and safe for consumption will be the impact.

Project Local Host Club Prime host Rotary club of Triuchirappalli Fort. And 16 other Rotary clubs as two clubs in each 8 Revenue Districts.

Role Of Rotarians

Rotarians with agriculture knowledge will rope in experts from various aspects of agriculture/Horticulture for teaching the farmers. Rotarians will provide all facilities such as for travel, boarding and lodging. Arrange for media reach out, visual media presentation to impart depth of knowledge
