To provide a Mamo Cancer Screening Mobile Bus for detecting breast cancer 2. To facilitate health awareness for rural and semi urban women on avoiding breast cancer 3. To help the women to overcome the burden of cancer and add valuable living years Brief Project Summary This project aims to provide Cancer Screening facility to the women in RI District 3000 through a mobile Mamo Screening at their surroundings. This is an valuable intervention on a preventive approach to mitigate the emergent medical emergency which will lead to fatal incidences among women. Project Beneficiaries 1 Lakh Women per year in the service area of RI District 3000 Area of Focus Disease Prevention and Treatment Project Sustainability The Project to provide Mamo Cancer Screening will be available on a free service to the women. The project will be carried through from the arrangements of the local rotary clubs. Expected Project Impact Cancer is fast emerging as a dangerous health issue for women, since there is reluctance on the part of women to go through the treatment due to high costs involved. This project will bring cancer detection in an easily accessible form which has no cost to the women. Moreover, the fear factor can be reduced to a great extent when done through a mobile method in their surroundings Role of Rotarians The Local Club Rotarians will take care of the awareness creation for the mobile detection of cancer through the Mamo Bus at the local areas.
