Title : Construction of Primary Health Centre at Ponganur Village of Manikandam Panjayat of Trichy District

We are happy to inform you that we the Trichy Metropolitan Club _President Rtn. P.Manoharan and Rtn. K.Nandha Senthil _ have identified the Ponganur Village of Manikandam Panjayat Union,Trichy Dist, under the Model Village Scheme to construct the Primary Health Centre. This Ponganur Village consist of 9 hamlets with the total population of 10,250.After the identification of the village, a team of Metropolitan members visited the village and had several rounds of interactions with the local community and finally chosen that village for the construction of the Primary Health Centre. In the course of the discussion we have identified that the Primary Health Centre is the felt need of the local community.

Under the Rotary Model Village Scheme, we are proposing to the Rotary District 3000 and through the RI 3000 to the Rotary International to construct the above said Primary Health Centre for 5002 sq.ft with the total construction cost of $1,26,793.39 (Rs.91,38,000).

We have also prepared a detailed plan and the Blue Print of the Proposed Building is submitted herewith. We have also obtained the signature from 60 members of local village with their Aadhaar Card. All the members in the village are willing to cooperate and support this proposed scheme.

Sustainability

Once the construction of the Primary Health Centre is completed, the maintenance of the Health Centre will be managed by the small contribution of the patients who will be visiting the Health Centre every day. If each patient contributes a minimum of Rs.40 per head and certainly a minimum of 130 patients are likely to visit the Health Centre in one day and that means for one day $72.15 (Rs.5,200) will be collected from the patients and per month it will be $2164.56 (Rs.1,56,000) .[ Rs.40 per head X Rs.130 persons per day. X 30 days = $2164.56 ( Rs.1,56,000) ].

With the income of $2164.56 (Rs.1,56,000) per month, the Health Centre can easily be maintained without any difficulties.
