This grant will enable Prashanti International School (PIS) to provide quality education kindergarten through high school for indigent and fatherless children from Puri and surrounding villages, with an emphasis on English language learning and building strong values. It will include (1) necessary facility upgrades and required security features required to qualify for certification as an English education high school; (2) teacher training to improve skills in incorporating English into all curriculum areas and relevant computer literacy, hygiene education, and Education for Human Values. Currently there are 250 students K-8th grade, but enrollment will gradually increase each year. It is expected to grow to over 400 students in three years.
