PROJECT SYNOPSIS: "MOBILE UNIT FOR DIAGNOSES OF LIVER DISEASES"
Rotary project for the acquisition of a VAN type vehicle adapted, equipped and intended to work as a MOBILE UNIT FOR DIAGNOSES OF LIVER DISEASES, for preferential realizations of diagnosis of liver abnormalities or dysfunctions, through simple and non-invasive examinations, consisting liver's functions test, supplemented by ultrasound, Doppler and elastomography, replacing biopsies, in patients at risk of carrying liver diseases, thus reducing the health compromise of these patients and the number of deaths.
Patients undergoing ultrasound examinations and other health problems, such as epigastric hernias, bile duct stones or stenoses, if any detected, will also be favored with the project, receiving medical guidance for specific treatments in the respective medical care sector of the Hospital de Base, or in other more convenient hospital for the patient.
This project will be carried out with international partnership and subsidies of the ROTARY FOUNDATION in the system called "Global Grants" and will have as a beneficiary FUNFARME - Regional Medical School Foundation of São José do Rio Preto.
The project will be conducted in accordance with ROTARY FOUNDATION norms and will have a partnership of District 4480, the ten Rotary Clubs of this municipality, and other international partners, and the Rotary Club of São José do Rio Preto - Novo Cinquentenario will be responsible for the local management of the project.
The scope of work for the project will be that of the administrative region of São José do Rio Preto, and more specifically the localities belonging to District 4480 of Rotary International and the DRS XV Regional Office of Health - São José do Rio Preto - SP - Brazil . Other cities belonging to District 4480, which are not part of this regional health station, such as Lins, Barretos and Jau, should also be attended to, provided that the project receives request and support from the respective DRS II - Araçatuba regional health police stations; DRS V - Barretos and DRS VI - Bauru
The project planning was carried out to be developed in four phases: 1st) Selection Phase and Project Justifications; 2nd) Identification Phase of the receiving Institution and of the Partners; 3ª) Phase of Approval and Implantation; 4th) Operation and Monitoring Phase.
Estimated deadline for implementation will be 06 months after approval by The Rotary Foundation and follow-up will take place for two years after the start of operational activities. Its cost is estimated for Rotary until the implementation phase at US$ 89,641.00, with all operational and maintenance costs, after implantation, through an agreement, under the responsibility of FUNFARME - Foundation of the Regional Faculty of Medicine of Sao Jose do Rio Preto.

SINOPSE DO PROJETO: Unidade Móvel para Diagnósticos Doenças do Fígado
Projeto do Rotary para aquisição de um veículo tipo VAN adaptado, equipado e destinado a funcionar como Unidade Móvel para Diagnósticos Doenças do Fígado, para realização preferencial de diagnóstico de anormalidades ou disfunções hepáticas, através de exames simples e não invasivos, constituído por teste de funções hepáticas, complementado por ultrassonografia com elastomografia e doppler, substituindo biópsias, em pacientes com risco de doença hepática, reduzindo o comprometimento de saúde desses pacientes e o número de óbitos.
Pacientes submetidos aos exames ultra-sonográficos com outros problemas de saúde, como hérnias epigástricas, cálculos biliares ou estenoses, eventualmente detectados, também serão favorecidos com o projeto, recebendo orientação médica para tratamentos específicos no respectivo setor de atendimento médico do Hospital de Base, ou em outros hospital mais conveniente para o paciente.
Este projeto será realizado em parceria internacional com subsídios da FUNDAÇÃO ROTÁRIA, no sistema denominado "Subsídios Globais" e terá como beneficiário a FUNFARME - Fundação Escola Regional de Medicina de São José do Rio Preto.
O projeto será conduzido de acordo com as normas da FUNDAÇÃO ROTÁRIA e terá a parceria do Distrito 4480, de dez Rotary Clubs deste município e de outros parceiros internacionais, sendo que o Rotary Club de São José do Rio Preto - Novo Cinquentenário será responsável pela gestão local do projeto.
A área de abrangência dos trabalhos deste projeto será o da região administrativa de São José do Rio Preto e, mais especificamente, as localidades pertencentes ao Distrito 4480 do Rotary International e do Escritório Regional de Saúde DRS XV - São José do Rio Preto - SP - Brasil. Outras cidades pertencentes ao Distrito 4480, que não fazem parte deste posto regional de saúde, como Lins, Barretos e Jaú, também devem ser atendidas, desde que o projeto receba solicitação e apoio das respectivas Delegacia Regional de Saúde de Araçatuba DRS II. ; DRS V - Barretos e DRS VI - Bauru
O planejamento do projeto foi realizado para ser desenvolvido em quatro fases: 1ª) Fase De Seleção e Justificativas do Projeto; 2º) Fase de Identificação da Instituição receptora e dos Parceiros; 3ª) Fase de Aprovação e Implantação; 4ª) Fase de Operação e Monitoramento.
O prazo estimado para a implementação será de 06 meses após a aprovação da Fundação Rotária e o acompanhamento ocorrerá por dois anos após o início das atividades operacionais. Seu custo total é estimado para o Rotary até a fase de implementação em US$ 89,641.00 com todos os custos operacionais e de manutenção após a implantação por meio do convênio, sob a responsabilidade da FUNFARME - Fundação da Faculdade Regional de Medicina de São José do Rio Preto.
