Project Description Region: South America Country: Brazil Location: RibeirÃo Preto-norte Total Budget: $38,315 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment Prevention and treatment of prostate cancer through the expansion and training of the urology and uro-oncology services of the portuguese hospital of black stream The specific objective is to acquire equipment for endoscopic, laparoscopic and percutaneous surgeries for SUS users in the Urology and Uro-Oncology Services of the Hospital Beneficência Portuguesa de Ribeirão Preto. Through this equipment, it will be possible to improve and strengthen the prevention and treatment of prostate cancer and other urological diseases, reducing the complications caused by the progression of these diseases, increasing the speed and efficiency of the care to patients in need.
