The Vegetable Garden Mandala: Healthy Life Global Grant project includes gardens in the circular format, permaculture movement that runs away from the traditional form. The word Mandala comes from sanskrit and means "sacred" or "magic circle". The objective of the Vegetable Garden Mandala Project: Healthy Life is to develop a sustainable production, saving water, which comes from the rain collected in cisterns, work with various plant diversity, stimulate the raising of birds and / or fish and egg production for self consumption and sale of surplus production at municipal fairs, in schools and kindergartens (food in schools) and in the community at large. The vegetable garden produces organic food and does not pollute the environment, in response to the social needs of family farmers, community gardens, agricultural schools and rural settlements in the municipality of Toledo / Paraná - Brazil. The Vegetable Garden Mandala: Healthy Life project aims at the installation of 25 vegetable gardens, serving more than 1,200 people directly. The benefit of the Vegetable Garden Mandala Project: Healthy Life is to show society that the field has become a privileged space, using natural resources, food sovereignty, with the right to learning and techniques, health, leisure, sustainable environment, especially the education of the countryside, giving young people and their families the search for new horizons, where their culture, their forms of organizations are respected and who live with dignity and pride in the field.
