The main goal of this project is to provide infrastructure for dental care in the Vale Azul neighborhood, in the city of Sarandi (PR), Brazil. The project includes two rooms that are equipped with dental equipment and portable dental equipment, so dentists can see patients at home (home care) if needed.
Beneficiaries of this project will be children, young people, adults and older adults in need, who belong to a community of about 2,000 people, and they have no other access to dental assistance due to financial matters, as well as distance.
This project's been running for 02 years, as it began in 2016. It functions at a deactivated health station, which is a property of the City of Sarandi and was assigned to YWAM - Young people with a mission. Dental health assistance is given by three dentists and hundreds of oral health students, who perform internship activities at this location. All work is performed for free.
