Pulmonary Ventilator Neonatal

With the acquisition of four (4) pulmonary ventilators, the technological modernization of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit aims to: improve the care provided by preventing complications due to problems arising from prematurity, respiratory disorders, heart diseases, malformations Congenital and metabolic disorders, thus improving the quality of life of the newborn.

Direct beneficiaries will be newborns at high risk (as well as their parents) or who need special care with different clinical or surgical problems such as: prematurity, respiratory disorders, heart diseases, congenital malformations and metabolic disorders. Currently the Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Piracicaba has fourteen beds with an average stay of fourteen days. Therefore, an average of 360 premature children per year will be attended.
