Associação Norte Paranaense de Combate ao Câncer - Honpar, philanthropic hospital: 302 beds (270 - 90% public health system, 68 beds for ICU), 10.000 patient's consultations/month, 12 surgery rooms: 800 surgeries/month (50% high complexity). It provides treatments as: hemodynamics, radiology diagnosis, nuclear medicine, oncology, lithotripsy, clinical analysis. Staff: 250 physicians of 45 different areas and 700 other employees. This is the only hospital in the area to perform high complexity treatments in cardiology, vascular surgery, orthopedics, Interventional Cardiology, Neurology/Neurosurgery, Endovascular surgery and oncology. The hospital attends the population of 1.661.425 in. There is a 24 hour E.R. Since 2008 it has also been a ' Hospital School ' and has 49 physicians taking their residency in general, advanced, vascular surgeries, medical clinics, cardiology , anesthesiology, orthopedics and traumatology. Due to the increase in the number of patients and high complexity services offered by the hospital, its infrastructure can't hold the demand, and for such, to maintain the quality of the services and the number of patients the Honpar asks for the donation of 50 hospital beds together with the mattresses. The rotarians will be involved in all the steps until the donation is done and later make sure the items are well used
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
