The project consists of collecting water from around 14 mountain springs, transporting it to a chlorine potabilizing plant and distributing the potable water to the homes of the people of the several communities, which form the Las Galtes area. This project has the permissions of the Ecuadorian water Institutions and will be carried out together with the Municipality of Guamote who will provide the required pipes and NGO Codeinse which already has done the technical studies and design. The people of Las Galtes will collaborate with the required unqualified labor and will provide some tools. Rotary will provide funds to cover costs of the potabilizing plant, home water meters, building materials, different tools and supplies and to pay for qualified labor costs.
