The project aims at the production of diapers to serve low income people in the region that includes the Rotary Clubs of Vilhena - Portal da Amazônia, Pimenta Bueno, Cacoal - Marechal Rondon, Rolim de Moura and São Miguel do Guaporé all of the state of Rondônia, District 4720 - Brazil. The production of diapers will be made possible by the acquisition of machinery and equipment, facilities, raw material (for the first week of production) and training for the Association of Parents and Friends of the Exceptional (APAES) of those municipalities, which will be responsible for the sustainability of the project. The objectives are to provide the entities cited as a source of income, since these entities rely on the contribution of society, to subsidize their activities that are essential for people with some kind of disability, whether mental or physical. In another hand, as the main purpose is to obtain a small margin of income, the APAE will serve the poor population with the supply of low-priced diapers in relation to the normal price of commercials. Thus, access to this personal hygiene supply will be made viable by low-income families, who in many cases either still wear cloth diapers or simply do not use them on their children because of lack of financial capacity for purchase. Estimated project cost $ 68,751.71.

This project needs to receive some pledges to go to the next level. Please check the "Financing" tab to see the list of current pledges. Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
