Project Description Country: USA Location: Anchorage Total Budget: $2,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Scholarship Summary: Eagle Scout Scholarship in Alaska, US Anchorage Midtown Rotary Club began awarding a $1,000.00 scholarship to a graduate from Alaska High Schools who earned the Eagle Scout rank during the 2021-2022 school year. Anchorage Midtown Rotary Club wants to continue awarding scholarships in 2025-2026. The club believes these awards recognize and affirm worthy youth by providing funds to help with the financial pressures of advanced education or training. Recipients submit an application together with a 750-1000 word essay on "The Rotary Four Way Test and Its Relationship to the Scout Law." Recipients are selected by a panel of club members based on the application and the content of the essay. The Club Treasurer approves all checks for disbursement of grant funds. The club member who is in charge of the grant, must sign / approve the voucher authorizing disbursement of funds from the grant.
