Project Description Country: USA Location: San Diego Total Budget: $1,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Scholarship Summary: The Volo Kids Foundation uses the power of play to build communities of active, resilient, and confident kids through quality sports programs and opportunities at no cost to families throughout the San Diego county communities Volo Kids Classic San Diego Golf Tournament is a 1 day tournament. Proceeds benefit the Volo Kids Foundation and each registration directly supports the funding of free sports programs for kids in the San Diego county communities. The goal is to create community-based, youth centered spaces that provide a platform for youth mentorship, familial health and wellness, and communal well being. The Volo Kids program removes barriers to athletic participation, such as limited financial resources and transportation. Programs are open to all kids, regardless of race, gender, or experience level.
