Summary: Supporting Youth Scholarships, RYLA and LEAD
Our Rotary Club will initiate a new Interact at Helix High Charter and/or Steele Canyon High School and continue to collaborate with Innovation High School in City Heights. We will provide six $500 scholarships to successful Innovation High students to continue their education or complete vocational training. We will support the food pantry at Innovation High and provide holiday gifts for 30 children of the students. In addition, we will support 4-8 students to attend RYLA and LEAD leadership training programs. Members will be involved as Interact coordinators and RYLA or LEAD counselors. We will conduct quarterly shopping trips to restock the pantry with food, diapers, and household supplies. We will assist the Interact Club with member recruitment service projects and fundraising activities.
