Project Description Country: USA Location: Carlsbad Total Budget: $500 Areas of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention, Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: We hold a high school speech competition which focuses on topics which relate to the Rotary Four Way test Students from the Carlsbad High School write and deliver speeches related to the Rotary Four Way Test. This program encourages, literacy, public speaking and familiarity with the ethics of the Four Way Test which is fundamental to our Rotary organization. Top students from the High School present their speeches to our Club. The winner moves on to our Rotary district competition.
