Summary: Prepare and mail Christmas packages to service men and women
Many service members are far from home for the holidays. Unfortunately, some are forgotten by family members. Operation Christmas Card is a North Platte based non-profit that sends Christmas Care packages to service people stationed all over the world. Each package contains hygiene items, nuts and snacks, a game, drink mix and multiple Christmas cards from children and adults from all over the United States. The club will sponsor 50 care packages as well as postage at a cost of $60/unit. On the fifth Wednesday in October, the club meeting will be a work session to assemble the boxes.
