Project Description Country: USA Location: Oak Lawn, IL Total Budget: $500 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: 6 Tumbleform Chairs will be provided to children with multiple medical problems within the Pediatric Care Complex program at Advocate Children's Hospital as a loan. The children will be able to sit up unsupported while attending virtual school & reading. This is an Early Childhood Education Grant project. 1) We would purchase Tumbleform chairs. The tumbleform chairs allow positioning for safety. They will use these chairs as alternate seating to a wheelchair. With this chair they will be able to sit up while attending virtual school, read books, and receive therapies that are crucial to maintaining their quality of life.2)We will schedule individual appointments with families to ensure proper fit. 3)Our club member Elise Gentile will be the lead for this project. Rotary Clubs of Lemont Homer Glen, Beverly and Chicago Southeast also participated, contributed grant funds and will each file separate reports.
