Project Description Country: USA Location: Gilbert AZ Total Budget: $10,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: New personal dictionary to each 3rd grade student in Gilbert Public Schools, East Mesa schools one private academy Need for personal dictionary to supplement classroom teaching, merit-testing. Will be delivered to each school in the fall, 2021 for teacher to use during academic year, then go home with the student. Club members attach Rotary sticker and Four Way Test sticker to each volume, deliver to the school and present the dictionaries to each class with explanation of Rotary service, use of dictionaries to learn about new words and use the supplements on math, government, geography, sign language, science and astronomy.
