Summary: Provide Drinking Water (Purification System) to Elementary Schools in Bhadrak District, India
This project will be implemented in the Bhadrak District, State Odisha, India. The host club will be the Rotary Club of Bhadrak (District 3262). Bhadrak is a rural district. The Rotary Club has identified more than 100 primary schools that already have electricity, overhead water tank and water taps. We want to add water purification system to this eater supply. Each water purification system will cost about $200.Thus with one Global Grant Project, we can serve more than 100 schools. Each school has about 200 students, thus about 20,000 students will be benefited. If needed, we will add a pump and overhead tank at some schools. However, our intentions is to provide the purification system to the schools that already have running water. That way way will increase the number of beneficiaries.
