Summary: The Oyster Ridge BOCES is investing in a Logitech Tap for Zoom Large Rooms- video conferencing kit. This equipment will be used by the BOCES, the community and our local Rotary Club in order to have meetings safely in these trying times.
The past year has been a crazy year, to say the least. The Oyster Ridge BOCES is the community education center in our local community. It has become apparent that the BOCES needs a safe way to host meetings and classes. The local school district has purchased a Logitech Tap for Zoom Large Rooms- video conferencing kit. The school district uses this technology regularly throughout the district. The BOCES is planning on purchasing the same equipment costing $5,900.00 (Rotary would be contributing $1500.00) with a goal of having it set up by the end of January 2021, if not before. This equipment will be used by the BOCES, the community, and our local Rotary Club in order to conduct meetings safely. We have many members of the Kemmerer Rotary Club that are involved in other groups around town who will also have access to this equipment, using it to host meetings, trainings, and classes. We will have a Rotarian write an article for our local paper and the ORO newsletter to spread the word to the community about this new service that will be available. This will provide additional access to our community partners, helping organizations remain effective during these trying times.

Bridgit,
All District grants need some type of Rotarian involvement you can't just give money for stuff.

Bridget,
You could have someone from the club write an article for the district newsletter and/or your local paper as a possibility for Rotarian involvement.
Could Rotarians be involved in the purchase process at all?

Bridgit,
Can you upload either a copy of Rotary's $1,500 check or a copy of your checking statement that shows the check. Once that is in the documents area I can close the grant.
Thanks
Randy
