As COVID-19 continues, many citizens of Iowa Park, Texas are struggling to get basic necessities, food being the highest of priorities. The Iowa Park Rotary Club will help the Ministerial Alliance (The Food Bank and Commodity Program) project to help feed people in need. This project was started in the 1970s and has been housed at the First United Methodist Church for many years. The pantry supplies food to school aged children who live in the Iowa Park Consolidated Independent School District. Through this project the Rotary Club of Iowa Park will advance good will, improvement of health and help alleviate poverty.
Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed)
This project also includes reimbursement for any expenses, up to $1,000, borne by the First United Methodist Church, in Iowa Park, that is associated with adding shelves or other modifications that will facilitate or enhance greater storage space for food. Such modifications will expand the reach and impact of The Food Bank and Commodity Program Project of the Ministerial Alliance.
