Project Description Country: USA Location: El Centro, CA Total Budget: $1,000 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment Activity Type: Food/Agriculture: Volunteer Services Summary: Feed volunteers at the Thousand Smiles Clinic / deliver diapers,clothes,food,water to orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico Feed volunteers at the Thousand Smiles Clinic. Clinic is to provide free dental services to low income community in Ensenada, Mexico. Several other Rotary Clubs from Southern California attend and volunteer the 3 day clinic that takes place on a quarterly basis. Once doors are open, patients come nonstop. Volunteers usually go without eating due to the number of patients they see. A lunch for the Saturday or the weekend is offered to all the volunteers. During the same weekend, a deliverY is made to the Orphanage locate in the same community of Ensenada, Mexico. Shoes, diapers,clothes,food,water and other items are delivered to orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico.
