Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Lexington, NE

Total Budget: $750

Area of Focus: Maternal and child health

Activity Type: Health: General

Summary: Medically required helmet for a child in Lexington, NE.

A local Lexington child requires a customized helmet due to a medical condition. The child is unable to have the helmet fabricated due to the cost ($2200) and insurance is refusing to cover the costs. Family is unable to provide the helmet for the child due to financial constraints. Family has reached out to other private funding groups but has not been able to receive funds. The grant project funds will be donated to the family to assist with coverage of the cost of the helmet. The local Ministerial Association is also contributing funds to cover the cost of the helmet.
