Beautification of Rotary Park

History Logs

Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Cambridge, NE

Total Budget: $350

Area of Focus: Community economic development

Activity Type: Community Development: Construction/Renovation

Summary: We have a downtown park in Cambridge, NE that is in need of mulch and supplies to make it a community attraction.

The mulch in our Cambridge Rotary downtown park has washed away from the rains coming off building located beside and it needs to be replaced. This mulch goes around the plants and rose bushes which our club has planted and maintains. We also have some wood on the archway entrance to the park that needs replaced. This downtown park is a place for people of our community or visitors to sit and enjoy the peaceful view. If they choose, they can have a picnic at the tables we have in the park area. We would like this grant to be considered so we may purchase new mulch for the plants and rose bushes. The new mulch would be higher quality to bring the park back to the beauty it once had. Also the grant funds would be used to purchase lumber for repair of the archway entrance and paint if necessary. Upon being awarded this grant, The Cambridge Rotary club members will purchase the needed supplies and complete the park beautification by September 30, 2020.
