Project Description Country: USA Location: Colorado/Wyoming Total Budget: $25,000 Area of Focus: None Activity Type: Community Development: Disaster Recovery Summary: Provide additional food needed by food banks in the district due to the COVID-19 pandemic The food banks in district 5440 have all been overwhelmed by requests for food due to people losing their jobs during the pandemic. All three major food banks in the district: Weld county food bank, Larimer county food bank and Food bank of the Rockies Wyoming have had to purchase additional food to cover these additional requests. This project grants a total of $25,000 to these food banks allocated in proportion to the population that they serve. Rotarians in these areas will help distribute the food.
