Project Description Country: USA Location: Twin Falls, ID Total Budget: $1,366 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Provide school supplies, socks and underwear for children in the Twin Falls foster care system. The club will provide school supplies, socks and underwear for children in the Twin Falls Foster Care System. Items will be donated to the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) program to have on hand, ready to give to kids when they are entering the new school year, or when they are removed from their homes. We plan to buy enough school supplies that all foster kids in our community will be equipped for the entire school year. The club plans to hold a supply drive July 24 & 25th at Fred Meyer to promote donations of the items needed. By doing this at back-to-school time of year, we hope to piggyback onto households already shopping for the items the CASA children need. We will continue our supply drive efforts on August 1st the club's annual Fundraiser. Club members will physically participate in the collection outside stores, and will help in the inventorying, shopping for items not donated, and delivering them to CASA who will then distribute them to children as needed. The project is expected to be complete by September 2020.
