Activity Type:
Community Development: Disaster Recovery
Summary: Provide assistance to local non-profit organization reeling from the economic effects of COVID-19.
COVID-19 has taken an economic toll on the local non-profit organizations, just as it has across the country and the world. This grant would be to provide a small amount of assistance to several organizations. If we receive the full amount of the grant proposal, ($7000),Gillette Energy Rotary would inform local non-profits of a an effort to assist them financially through a small grant process. The grants would simply require a short statement of need, for what items and the amount requested, up to $1000. A group of readers from Gillette Energy Rotary would review the statements and recommend the organizations to be funded to the Gillette Energy Rotary Board. Our goal would not only be to assist the organization, but to make the community/non-profit aware of Rotary District 5440 and Gillette Energy Rotary contribution to this extreme need. We would anticipate receiving requests from such organizations as; The Council of Community Services (food bank), Vaccines for Influenza Prevention, Youth Emergency Services House, Salvation Army, Boys and Girls Club and others.

Lyn,
Please upload a detailed budget of where income is coming from and what the proposed expenses are going to be.
Also, Gillette-Energy's current per capita is $0. The club needs to have a per capita of at least $50 for the 19-20 year to qualify for the $3,500 level. If you are able to get the per capita up to that level by 6/30/20 you will qualify.
If you are able to complete both of these requests please remember that the money from the District will not be sent to your club until mid July.
