Summary: series of 75-100 take home STEM kits for ages 7-13 in Salmon, Idaho
The COVID-19 health crisis has changed the Salmon Library service mode. This grant will support the creation of a series of take-home kits, targeting youth ages 7-13. 4 different kits will be created and distributed over the summer giving kids the chance to explore STEM topics through creative story-making. Possible activities will include stop-motion animation with modeling clay, circuit storybooks, science fiction fairy tales and more. 75-100 of each kit will be created and distributed weekly at the library and through other local educational partners. Kits will also be developed for local teachers and educators for classroom use via a formal check-out program with all necessary accessories, instructions and activities. Grant funds will also be used to support the purchase of sturdy carrying containers. The project timeline is Summer/Fall 2020

Just FYI: clubs with summer projects must be certain not to spend money prior to TRF approval of the D5400 block grant usually in mid-July. Although you've referenced COVID19 in your application, a project such as this is not considered by TRF to be a COVID19 grant (those are for medical supplies & equipment). Hence you cannot be reimbursed for expenses incurred prior to approval of the block grant. Sounds like a good project!
