Project Description Country: USA Location: San Diego Total Budget: $400 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment Activity Type: Community Development: Disaster Recovery Summary: La Jolla La Jolla Sunrise Rotary is one of several District 5340 clubs which support San Pasqual Academy (SPA), a residential foster home and high school facility in the San Pasqual region of Escondido near the Safari Park. There is a need for chromebook computers for SPA Middle School resident foster children. The school they attend in the community is in the San Pasqual Union School District and is not covered by the funding which provides computers for distance learning during the COVID-19 virus shutdown for children in the San Diego schools district. SPA has contacted individual donors who will cover the cost of 20 chromebook computers ($5,000). This grant request is for 20 keyboards which cost approximately $20 each. La Jolla Sunrise Rotary will contribute $200 and request $200 match from the COVID-19 Special Project Grant.
