St Vincent de Paul Pantry has been serving people in need of food in Valley Center and Pauma Valley for over 20 years. The Pantry is a community food distribution site that provides food regardless of faith or race. With the COVID-19 virus, the need has increased steadily from serving 35-50 families each week to 75 families last week with a continual increase anticipated. The increase, coupled with the inability to stock some regular staples through the San Diego Food Bank, has created a need to supplement dry good foods through direct purchase. Additionally, fresh vegetables from a local organic farm would add healthy nutritious vegetables to the weekly supply.
