Summary: 10 adustable desks, seats and rockers for Burleson ISD REALM Secondary School


Staff from the Burleson ISD identified situations where standing desks would help in certain learning situations. The school needed 30 stations and was selected by VariDesk in a special pilot program that provided 20 stations at no charge. The remaining 10 stations cost $250 per desk, $250 per seat and $95 per rocker for a total of $5950.00.

The Bureson-Area Midday Club will purchase the additional 10 units and members will help assemble the units at the school. Approximately 6-10 Rotarians are expected to participate directly in the project. The Club will provide $2975.00 and is asking the District to match the $2975.00.

We would expect to complete the project within 30 days of grant approval.


Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed)

Once district notified the club of only a $1500 match, the club board agreed to keep club amount at $3400 for a total grant of $4900. The school will raise the balance of funds to complete the purchase.
