Summary: HARLEM HEALS will take place in Harlem, New York at the Salvation Army. Thousands of giveaways, meals, and onsite medical assistance will be provided to the general public attendees ranging from children to young adults.
HARLEM HEALS is a vibrant community project that will take place in the fall of 2019. This project will engage the Harlem, New York community via health awareness, food distributions, on site medical screenings, community partnerships and collaborations, local media, and politicians. There are currently many children and adults in the Harlem community that receive little to no healthcare and are extremely under-served. The Rotary Club of Harlem members and our trusted community partners will engage in our community outreach via hands-on involvement. The event will be held at the Harlem Salvation Army and all funds will go towards the medical supplies and equipment, meals to be given away to those families that are less fortunate, and other marketing costs that will ensure a great community turnout.
This project is "Fully Pledged". This means the amount of the pledges is equal to the total budget of the project. Now the project needs to be finalized and go through the club signature process. This process gets started on the administration page.
Project listed for the 2019-20 Rotary Year.
