HARLEM HEALS is a vibrant community project showcasing true Service Above Self. In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak plaguing the entire world this project will generate immediate emergency funding and support to supply the Harlem chapter of the Salvation Army. This project will engage the Harlem, New York community via health awareness, food distributions, emergency supplies (protective masks and hand sanitizer) for Salvation Army staff, essentials for seniors and the homeless within the community, local media, and politicians. The Rotary Club of Harlem members and our trusted community partners will promote our community outreach via online platforms to further reach the general public. The project will be held at the Harlem Salvation Army Soup Kitchen with all funds designated for the medical supplies and equipment, meals to be given away to families, seniors, and homeless population within the greater Harlem community.
