Summary: Set up of Little Free Library stations in key locations around Pierre & Fort Pierre communities.
The grant project will build a set of Little Free Libraries and install them at key locations around the Pierre and Fort Pierre communities such as the Southeast Pierre Community Center, Missouri Shores Domestic Violence Center, the Pat Duffy Community Center, and Fischer Lily Park. Little Free Libraries are small "take a book, return a book" free book exchanges that anyone in the community can use or contribute to. You do not need a library card and there is no return date. The Little Free Libraries will be located in places that make books and reading materials accessible to citizens that may not otherwise have them and eliminate the need for transportation to the Rawlins Public library.
