Project Description Country: USA Location: Wichita Falls Total Budget: $600 Areas of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention, Community economic development Activity Type: Peace: General Summary: Buddy Bench for the school playground that encourages young children to befriend others that are lonely or left out. This is a project that focuses on young children trying to fit in and others being open to welcome new kids and helping with the growing problem of young children feeling left out and developing depression. We will start on this project in August of 2019, looking to having it done sometime in September 2019. The club members will be involved in the planning of the bench and delivering it to the school. The local high school metal shop will be making the bench with the Rotary logo on it.
