Project Description Country: USA Location: Wichita Falls Total Budget: $5,500 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Literacy technology workstations in the Early Childhood Library to be included the the newly constructed Early Childhood Education and Youth Development Center at the Family YMCA in Wichita Falls TX. The construction of the Development Center was identified as a necessary component of the after school program for children ages 1-6 who participate in the YMCA program. Approximatley 150 children use the facility 5 days a week. With the latest technology and spacious and fun learning centers, the children will continue to "learn" in the after school program. The center will be completed in the Spring of 2020 and our Rotary Club and the Rotaract and Interact Clubs we sponsor will be involved in volunteer learning times with the children.
